NYC Trip Continued:
After Habu we were heading to Purl Soho and Purl Patchwork, I must admit it was my first time at SoHo and I loved every minute of it, from a wedding processing at nearby church and bells made it feel like Europe in the middle of busy NYC streets. Lunch next door to it was great!!
Purl Soho is unique and tiny place with LOADS of stuff.. small was very crucial for me as I found myself in awkward browsing position. If I pulled a skein I couldn't stick it back on the shelf it was that tight! Lime Charteuse Koigu jumped at me and made me stammer for a while, I have been eyeing this color for a while, I can't wear green and they lime needs to be of a precise shade not to make me look like a corpse. And it's my first Koigu.
Happily grabbing odd number of skeins.. and wondering would I need more?.. What would I make?
A picture from a Bryant Park on a water bottle of my other most favourite color: royal blue.
My only purchase from Purl SoHo. But Purl Patchwork was a thrill as well...

And just the other day on Elle site I stumbled upon this.. those Prada shoes are too cool, but me..socks.. * rolling eyes*, but I though I have a vest for this yarn in plan..so now i have two ideas on my shoulders sitting and barking at each other..will see who wins. Vest or Socks. Eeek!

Liesl and Co has recently released a pattern with a hardware kit, I learned about it from a customer... (A colleague of Lolly's, what a small world!) And oh boy was I in love... I picked the pattern and the long-desired Echino fabric by Etsuko Furuya at Patchwork... it has been in making process as I seem to be running out of time.. the beauty! Matches my yellow shoes perfectly...

And those shoes.. and yes, one of my long finished HABU FO's, I must confess when I am not knitting Ravelry is sucking you up.. I am resisting. As I am not joining anymore groups, like Ravelry Anonymous, where addicted people kill there time 24/7.
As more knitting and deadlines are coming and I simply can't fail. Habu Yarn was from a lovely swap with Janet and was also Helped by Vanessa/coloursknits. 1 cone of A-33 fine merino and 2.5 cones of A-20 silk wrapped stainless steel, both in Navy. It's a many possibilities shawl/scarf/vest.. just need to be smart how to play around it and show you how I intend to wear it.

What's next you say, where or what have I been knitting for myself, I have been knitting vigorously and a lot... when I have a chance, recently lots on a commute with HP audiobook in my ears and knitting in my hands and lot more to come:
1) I have refurbished My Kusha Kusha Scarf Variation and will take pictures wearing it as soon as I am done. Now it has 3 shades of steel and same grey merino. Not sure if I will make the "naked" part of SSS though, but time will show.

2) My Blueberry Dream Jacket aka Habu Kit-19 will be now to be born into a duster coat from Avril Anniversary book. Same principal, just thinking bigger and you know fall is coming soon. I do not have enough yarn I think.. book calls for 350 gr of each (11oz +) but I will keep knitting till I use it all up. EDT: I have just learned that Habu Textiles is offering that coat kit #100 in four colors -grey, green, charcoal and brick red. And it's sold at $105.
Thanks to Isel and Ava who induced me to pull out some of my clothes of a perfect outfit for it to become totally Japanese.

3) An accessory I am making which will be a surprise to my readers as I am never on that side of the knitting camp. (and they are not socks..)
I also have been so fallen out of blogging and I am pleased to annouce to those who doesn't know yet, we now officially have a HABU KAL and a Group on Ravelry. All are very Welcome!!! Grab button, join and enjoy and satisfy your thirst for what you wanted to learn about the Habu Phenomenon.
Till later, now back to my knitting...

Oh, I have 2 yards of the yellow honeycomb fabric!! I'm not sure what to make with it, it's almost to pretty to cut...
I saw that vivid green color at Purl, I think Yarnmonster bought it.

I put my e-mail on the list for Ravelry, but I really don't think I would have the time because I can barely keep up with bloging. I love the green Koigu-My very favorite color is Chartreuse.....
