This week there is a lot of knitting going on and a lot of progress, but not much of that I can expose yet. So here is a small finished object for your Habu Indulgence. Interest and awareness to their unique products seem have boosted recently and that's great! But I hear this amazing kit has been temporarily sold out in many places and even Habu Textiles store itself is waiting on a shipment of fresh ones. But don't lose your hope yet, you may just do as well, but getting a cone of A-20(silk wrapped stainless steel) and a cone of A-33 (fine merino wool). And using one needle size (I used US6 instead of all 4 recommended various needle sizes) I knit a rectangle scarf, 60% of which using both yarns and 40% using silk wrapped stainless steel. Hand felt it in a sink and stretched it a bit, as it has shrunk. Because those fiber materials are so unique you can give it any shape you desire later, you can consider it as a play dough, experiment with it, make it a wearable piece of art!

Speaking of art or distantly reminded by it, a woven/knit/sewn project is coming along nicely, but is taking some thought as other details are invented as I go. Any guesses what it might be?

Wow! I really like the grey/silver/black theme. Looks like it could be a seat or ottoman cover. Because that's what the woven fabric brings to mind.

It's totally crazy. But in a good way! I can't wait to see what it grows up to be!

(LOVE that scarf. So cool - I have the Habu bamboo/copper yarn, and I'm still not sure what to do with it because it's just so awesome and it needs the proper respect.)

Ooooh! That knit/weave/sew project is gorgeous. Is it a pillow cover or something else interior-related? Can't wait to see the finished product!

I've been eyeing this scarf for a long time, and yours is even more inspiration! Thanks so much for the info about going ahead sans kit. :)

OH! Sorry for the double comment, but I'm also kind of obsessed with this silvery 'woven' picture. Is it a table covering? Pillow? Bag?

A blanket, a curtain? Whatever it is, it looks really cool!:)

A blanket? A bag?
Whatever it is, it looks awesome!

The skarf is fantastic, the woven poject is interesting. I think it is slightly big for a bag (unless it is a large bag ;)). I would make a bell-shaped skirt out of it, similar to my black dress you liked.

please tell me it's a handbag.

seat cover would also be very very cool. i love the king-arthur chainmail effect of the silvery garter st.

this is incredibly inspiring, whatever it is.

I love that scarf! I am totally inspired to try to snag one too. How does it feel wearing it?

In the pic, it looks wide and long. I'm guessing a rug/mat?
Pretty neat looking!

The Habu scarf is crazy cool. I'd love to see a photo of how you wear it!

Is the woven thing a seat cushion or chair cover type of thing?

Wow, girls, wild guesses, but some of you were right, it's a bag/purse, it's so big because I am assembling it from one piece and the adding the zipper part and the handle! I spend some week-end time on it, so it's coming along nicely, but still not done.

Olga, both pieces are incredibly beautiful.
