:: long finished, first exposed ::
Some finished objects to show you today...
I have made these garments a while ago..about 2-3 months by now and I got plenty of wear out of them, I am guilty for not showing them earlier as the season is at its' end and everyone sporting their spring outfits already, well, I wish it was that warm here already!.. couple more weeks I hope..

And another picture of it here.
Urchin Beret aka Transformer Hat: Handknit by me from Blue Sky Alpacas Bulky Naturals yarn in Lynx color couple months back.
Chanel cashmere sweater : a gift from a friend when I was leaving FL.
Unknown suede belt: from Loehmann's.
Skirt: Handknit by me from Blue Sky Alpacas pattern and Debbie Bliss Alpaca DK yarn in 03/Sage (scored a bag from Stitches East last October, used only 6 skeins for the skirt)
It has been knit on US 2 (3 mm) Addi Turbo Circulars, takes time, but that way the skirt doesn't sag at your bottom when you sit down. Took about a month to make as my "take to movies" project and in between other commitments.
Leggins: Target
Boots: Nine West
I did post this as my first wardrobe remix picture, it's fun I tell you! It's just living in FL caused my wardrobe to be filled with 60-70% of summer things and I am so reluctunt to stock up on winter stuff... rather knit it...
So I wanted another everyday winter sweater and in my favourite color and soft.. seeing so much yummy sweaters all over in Malabrigo.. I made my choice, I love this yarn now, who cares that it pills, there are remedies for that! It is heavenly soft and I am definitely knitting something else with it for the next season! Only trouble now is just to pick the right color among their HUGE variety!

Goofy picture and my cat protested.. how come.. picture-taking and he is not the center of attention.. so he was being cute and giving me sniffs here: "What did you have for breakfast today, woman?? "
Pattern: Size Small/ 34" bust
Mix of Hourglass Sweater, Phildar Cabled Yoke sweater and a shake of creazativity and math.
Materials: 4 skeins (exactly) of Malabrigo Merino in Tiger Lily, same dye lot.. but still it wasn't perfect
Us 7 (4.5 mm) Addi Natura Bamboo Circular Needles.
Time to make: within 2 weeks.

Whoaaaa, knit skirt - brave! And when I looked at this picture, the only "knit" I saw was the hat - you did such a great job with the skirt, I didn't even imagine it was knit!
The Hourglass hybrid is beautiful! I love the way it turned out!
Love that sweater, including the color. :)
Have you noticed how in the lingerie departments salmon seems to be the new black? At least that's how it looked a few weeks ago in LA.
I am impressed with the skirt. It would never occur to me to knit one… too afraid it would get out of shape in just a day or two. Hopefully that's not the case.
You are crazy talented. I love the picture with your kitty cat.
I love that skirt! It's been on my to-knit list for a while... Your Malabrigo sweater is lovely. I think you've shown pictures of it before (or was it just on your flickr page)? But it's so nice you can post as many pictures of it as you like :)
Jean, thank you so much for your kind compliment! We love our cat as well, though he behaves more like a dog sometimes it doesn't make him less cute!
you look so cute in that skirt--way cuter than the model on the bluesky site! and the hourglass came out great! see? even your kitty loves it!
I really love your sweater, I need to start adding that color into my own knitting.
The only thing I have in Malabrigo is a single armwarmer and I don't care how much fuzz it attracts, its soft and I love it!!!
Love the Malabrigo sweater! And the skirt looks cute too. Perfect fit on both garments.
You are sooooo frickin' CUTE! Oh, and your talented and beautiful too.
Wonderful sweater! I love the Phildar cabled yoke - it's part of the reason I bought that pattern book.
The malabrigo sweater looks beautiful and so so soft.
cute skirt and sweater! (Murka always has to be part of the action!)
This is really gorgeous! I wasn't familiar with Phildar before. How exactly do you buy the pattern from their website?? Or are there other sources for it? I would happily swap something for it...
2 Kate: Kate, I don't have the pattern for phildar, i have used it as a visual idea, it was knit all at my own accord. I used Hourglass Sweater for the base.
www.phildar.com they sell their magazines directly online or you can buy a kit(yarn and a magazine in english)

wow, I'm even more impressed now! I might have to do some messing around & see if I can figure out how to do it myself ... hmmm. I just finished my 1st (plain) hourglass in Malabrigo and I agree that who cares how much it pills--it's so soft!
How come I've mist this great post?! The finished objects are soooo pretty, the skirt looks great on you. But my main love is with your sweater, it is just too much to look at, I think it has to be yet another thing to copy. By the way, I definitely feel like knitting your Habu scarf as soon as I order their yarn catalogue and decide on the colour
