:: morning humor ::
Those couple days we have been into the NYC Fashion FW 2007 week I can see how pessimistic designers are about the global warming thing... hotter summers and colder winters ..but I hope they don't mean I absolutely have to wear a pair of hot pants this summer, but probably will have to double up for next fall again, or even better - knit myself some shorts! Who needs fashion, my butt is cold!

Designers love knitting and even promote handknitting!Like here that Kate shows.
Anna Sui

The last fall's tendency is observed definitely to keep a knit manly oversized heather grey cardigan/coat to wear over an evening dress, pantsuit... well anything! And a knit dress will be your wooly friend as well disregarding that it doesn't flatter half women on the globe.
Oversized cowl-necks are back
Peter Som, Michael Kors

Some may suggest throw all your knits in a pile, get some rope to tie it in a jacket...doesn't seem it will give her or pooch much warmth. But definitely give her a bum look, they know how to stay warm on the streets. I'd rather be knitting..
Heatherette

Edit:
Another one from what NOT to knit or wear... this bodysuit may keep you warm but way too fugly..

oh my.. that oversized cowl neck makes me laugh! wasn't it this past season's "project runway" where one of the designers was totally lambasted for putting a cowl neck on something? i'm sure of it. and now it's HOT HOT HOT on the runway. god, i have a total love/hate relationship with fashion.
Oh, wow! I love those Anna Sui knitting needles. I wonder if they're actually in production....
great recap. i think i saw that heatherette coat on one of the olsen twins last fall.
forget soy lattes and teacup chihauhaus...skeins of red heart are apparently the new fasion accessory!
i thought that looked like caron's so soft in the anna sui bag. And i only know this because a long time ago i knitted something with it.
I WAS JUST STARTING! dont judge
Thanks! Love your blog's new look. You'll have to show me how you loaded your pix.
You and Kate are fantastic!!! Thank you for the recap...I LOVE IT!!
Great work you put in giving us these pictures. Inspiring both when it comes to knitting and eating more healthy to be able to show off those legs when summer comes.
