::Happy New Year Everyone!::
Let the New Year of 2007 bring you all the best and happiest!
The weather has been really rainy and nippy, so the fireworks didn't happen. But see saw the yarn in with a glass of champagne and our hopes for another GREAT YEAR!
The final finished objects of 2006 were photographed the other night
Camel Silk Jacket

Materials:
10 skeins of Ella Rae "Shibu" in color 4 for 35" bust
US 6 Addi turbo and US 6 DPN by Lantern Moon in Ebony
Snap tape colored by Kool-aid (red + green)
Velvet ribbon to trim the inside of the jacket
Time to make: about a month
Source for yarn and accessories
I did design the pattern under the influence of that pufiness of the sleeves popping out here and there last fall. This yarn is definitely a winner, so soft, silky but still with the look of a tweed and decent weight. I just cannot wait to think of something and use it again! I was using my Ebony DNP in US 6 for the 1st time and noticed that one of the needles had a snag and kept catching on my yarn, so I emailed the company and guess what, great communication, they send me 2 new needles to replace! I would buy more Lantern Moon needles if I get a chance, but I still love my Addis better. Needles HO!~
From my trip I brought a sack of those ideas, that just live, but so reluctant to lay on the paper. Or may be it is the holiday season still...
As a result of one you may see SEW+KNIT=LOVE
This was a small piece of italian wool coat fabric my mom had leftover. She recreated a pattern and I knit the sleeves from DB Alpaca Silk DK. 3 and a half skeins in chocolate on US 4.
Looks like a great addition to any outfit! Looove the contrast! I do not mean those pants in the pic though!

With the New Year here I thought about destashing somewhat quantities of the yarn I own, why.. just the projects are not appealing to me anymore..
Last week I suddenly loved this jacket from Blumarine and I happen to have the viscose fur to trim it with and by today I have already made both sleeves and have knit half of both part of the front. Ain't that impulsive? I show pics of that next time. I reeeeaaally need to show how the yarn I am using makes my life filled with color!
Here is this inspiration... I know the new Fall's collection will be up soon on the runway and I am still living with the last year's... May be because I just miss it =)
