::weekend::
It was a busy week-end and I tell ya it was a blast!
Saturday morning I have finally woven the ends of my Pinkina, gave her a generous soak and blocked. Who said you cannot wash 100% silk, after gentle handwash with shampoo in lukewarm water it became much softer. When it dried it felt even much better, real LUXURY as it is named. And totally worth its money. I am probably the last person to make it. Please judge.
Pattern: Orangina by Glampyre
Material: for Small size, 4 skeins of Filatura di Crosa Luxury, 100% plied silk
US 3 circular Addi Turbo 32"
Time to make: approx. 2 weeks while in the car, airport, hotel, airplanes.

I should say it's never a dull moment here in the city, later that day we went to observe the opening of a new momument to the Air Force. The weather was so fresh and crisp, cloudless sky let us see an amazing air show. That was breathtaking... Hubby got a nice shot!

On Sunday I met Ava who is an active knitting blogger and a great knitter. She was so kind to show me around DC knitting life..and ohh.. we went to 3 yarn store.. visited a knitting group meeting. As as a result of all these fortunate events, I couldn't fall asleep last night... I saw colors and all that yarn talking to me... Ava, mercy on me =)
I couldn't wait for my copy of VK to arrive so I got one..
And Kate supported all my attempts toward the Urchin Beret/Mushroom Hat. I just saw a perfect gauge yarn and got it on sale at Stitch DC. My US 17, here I come.. results ..may be later on today.

Beautiful Pinkina. What size did you make? I have the pattern but have yet to knit one so I think I will be the last person knitting this.
